Winner of Alfa Romeo’s Man VS MiTo Race Revealed

Alfa Romeo has held a race to decide once and for all whether it is fast across London on foot or by car. As the Official Car Supplier to UK Athletics (UKA), Alfa arranged in the Commonwealth champion and former European 400m, Iwan Thomas to run against one of their very own superminis Mito in the 3.8-mile race around the streets of central London’s busy city , starting and finishing at Tower Bridge.

European and Commonwealth 110m hurdles champion Andy Turner sat in the driving seat, aided by the ‘define’ navigation skills Jump record holder Chris Tomlinson length of Britain.

With the congestion charge beating the 1.3-second 85 bhp JTDM engine is now added to the range, Mito ensure that the couple – two British World Championships competitor bright medals – will not be raised to pay the toll for driving in central London. This is a close-run affair, but Mito take the victory, completed the race in 20 minutes flat, with Iwan Thomas completed just 1 minute and 44 seconds behind.
