Renault Trucks has announced the development of a new truck concept called the lab Optifuel. With modified front spoiler and a longer nose (about a foot (30 cm) over the heads of regular trucks), the laboratory Optifuel reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions up to 15 percent. Renault Trucks has stated that the tractor chain has been completely overhauled, as has been the way that the energy used to power all vehicle auxiliary equipment such as brakes, electrical works. It also uses a special blend of diesel developed by the French oil company Total. With all this, the concept truck has been designed to maximize performance in the transport of long distance freight haul roads and can move 25 metric tons by burning less than 4.5 liters per 100 km.
